The X6 is a vertical retro gaming handheld released in 2023 by BOYHOM. It is built around the Actions Semiconductor ATJ2273S with DDR, has a 3.5 inch IPS 640 x 480 display, and uses a 2000 mAh battery. Its documented emulation ceiling is GENESIS full speed, placing it in the budget tier for retro game emulation.
How far can it go?
Runs everything up to Genesis / Mega Drive at full speed, and pushes as far as SNES with some compromises.
Realistic ceiling: GBA and SNES mostly playable, PS1 and above unplayable

Pros & cons
👍 Pros
- The price. Easy to use with big icon. Screen look good, good colors (with the good position). Good Speaker. Quick launch ~10/15 seconds. Battery charging with USB C
👎 Cons
- Cross is horrible to use. Shoulder Buttons not configured in game (need passed by the mapping menu for each games). Screen Angle of view not really good. A/B/X/Y buttons with too much depth (unplayable for fighting games). SD card with a special partition, if you reset your card without make a copy ... impossible to use it (Need not just a save of all files, it's a real copy of the SD card that you need, because she use an special partition !) Some Display Problems on games. Can't run all GBA games for some games White screen, need to press menu button to exit. Impossible to add emulator or change it.

"Lot of seller, but really hard to found the creator ... impossible to found an update for the system. It's not an really bad handheld, but she's not the better. For me the big problem it's the system with the micro sd card partition, it's an invisible partition and if we delete it... the Handheld is dead, because it's impossible to found it on the web. I had a chance to make a copy of my system after i have open the box, because i have format the Micro SD card and when i have place the save files in the formatted micro SD, the X6 tell me "impossible to read the card".
