Genesis Plus GX — Emulation Architecture, Settings & Handheld Guide
Genesis Plus GX is an open-source libretro core emulator developed by eke-eke. It is primarily designed to emulate Sega Genesis / Mega Drive on All Platforms.
Architecture & Technical Design

Originally created by Charles MacDonald and massively expanded by French developer eke-eke, Genesis Plus GX achieved renown for its cycle-accurate emulation of the Motorola 68000 and Zilog Z80 CPUs, and its flawless reproduction of the Yamaha YM2612 FM sound synthesizer. It is the premier core used across almost every modern retro handheld firmware (OnionOS, ArkOS, ROCKNIX).
