Snes9x is an open-source standalone & libretro core emulator developed by Snes9x Team. It is primarily designed to emulate Super Nintendo Entertainment System (SNES) on All Platforms.

Created in 1997 through the merger of Gary Henderson's snes96 and Jerremy Kress's snes97, Snes9x has been maintained for over a quarter of a century. It achieved widespread fame for reverse-engineering Nintendo's on-cartridge enhancement chips, including the Argonaut Super FX 3D co-processor (Star Fox) and Capcom Cx4. Snes9x delivers exceptional speed on low-power handhelds with virtually imperceptible input latency.
